Bio
Francesca Cayla Castro is a singer-guitarist from Chicago currently based in Los Angeles. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music on a full scholarship with a double major in Performance and Contemporary Writing & Production. While being nominated by the Guitar Faculty as a Guitar Department Achievement awardee, she has also been selected to be in Berklee’s most prestigious ensembles including the Terence Blanchard XTET and the Tower of Power ensemble. She has also worked with Jazz legends including Terri Lyne Carrington, Nicholas Payton, and Dee Dee Bridgewater.
Over the last few years, she has gained over 400K monthly listeners on Spotify with original music from her debut EP Day by Day. The fan favorite, Cup of Tea has over 700K streams from listeners all over the world. Her latest single Would You Be So Kind is now available on all platforms.
She has performed her own shows in the Chicago area including the Chicago Jazz Showcase Buddy Guy’s Legends, and the Deer Park Jazz Fest. On top of performing, she writes and produces her own music.
